March 27th,
Greetings Hughes Family and Friends,
Our Christian Lenten Season begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, and ends on Holy, Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The six-week period of Lent is a time of Hope and a time to Focus on God and our Spiritual Disciplines through prayer, fasting, reading the bible, and attending church. It is a season to Gather, Grow, and Go!
Please plan to attend our Ash Wednesday service at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 5, 2025 (flyer attached). During our service, ashes will be applied to your foreheads in the symbol of the cross as a sign of repentance from sin.
During the next six weeks, I challenge us as a congregation to join in the spiritual discipline of Fasting to help us practice self-denial and become stronger in resisting temptation.
Attached is a flyer that details the Ways to Fast each day.
Monday – No Meat (Seafood is permitted).
Tuesday – No TV between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday – Consume water only with all meals (No coffee, tea, sodas, juice, etc.)
Thursday – Write 3 things you are thankful for in life.

closing on our Facebook page and the church website, and an email will also be
sent. Be safe and always exercise caution while traveling.
